Switzerland-based gaming audio solutions company SONIX announced Tuesday that it has secured an additional CHF 1.8 million—or $2.2 million USD—in a new funding round from a group of undisclosed “business angels, entrepreneurs, and family offices.”

This technological tour de force was pulled off by Vaud-based Sonix (sonixapp.com), which develops systems for ultra-low latency and high-definition audio transmission. Latency is the time it takes to transmit data over a communication channel.
